OnePlus’ Ace series is just a step below the flagship series devices and the Ace3Pro narrowed the gap with the OnePlus 12 more than any previous model in the series. It features a slightly smaller curved 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a maximum local brightness of 4,500 nits.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset carries over and you can configure the Ace 3 Pro with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The cameras are identical to the regular ones Ace 3/OnePlus 12R with a 24mm 50MP main shooter with F/1.8 aperture and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens (16mm) and a 2MP macro camera.
One area where the Ace 3 Pro has the edge over its flagship is in the battery department. The Ace 3 Pro is the first device to feature OnePlus’ new Glacier battery technology that offers a higher energy density cell with a capacity of 6,100 mAh.
OnePlus is also bringing an updated passive cooling system with a VC heat dissipation area of 9126mm², which claims a 36% improvement in cooling compared to the outgoing OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and a 70% improvement in thermal conductivity.
OnePlus too guarantees that the battery retains 80% of its original capacity after 4 years of use and that it supports 100W SuperVOOC S wired charging, which can be charged from 0 – 100% in 36 minutes. The phone also has an IP65 rating, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
OnePlus Ace 3 Pro comes in Porcelain White, Green Field and Titanium Silver colors. Prices start at CNY 3,199 ($440) for the 12/256 GB version and end at CNY 4,399 ($605) for the 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage version. The open sale in China starts on July 3.
