We are approaching the announcement of the Galaxy Ring on 10th of July and some features of the new fitness tracker have been revealed.
Android Authority were able to find some of the Galaxy Ring’s features via an APK teardown from Samsung Health. The Galaxy Ring can monitor heart rate and stress, measure skin temperature, and help track monthly menstruation.
The device will also feature snore detection, which requires you to keep a phone nearby and charging it.
Stress and heart rate measurement
None of this is new: modern Galaxy Watch models already have these features. It’s likely that the Galaxy Ring will also work with existing Galaxy Watch wearables to improve health and fitness tracking.
Period prediction based on skin temperature and snore detection
Expect the Galaxy Ring to cost between $300 and $350, or INR 35,000. There may be a sub-$10 monthly subscription for Samsung Health, which will give you access to more features, similar to Fitbit Premium.
