As far as we know right now, the Find X8 pair should launch sometime in October in China. We already have a pretty good idea of what kind of specifications to expect and we even have seen the vanilla Find X8 already out in the wild. Now we have some new real-world photos of the Oppo Find X8 out in the wild, unfortunately wrapped in a rather thick case.

Still, we can see enough of the phone’s design to confirm previous design leaks, such as the extra-large camera island on the back. We can also see that the case appears to have substantial cutouts for all of the microphones and sensors on top of the device. This seems relevant, as it’s unlikely that the case maker simply forgot to include a cutout for the supposed capture button which is supposed to be low on the right side of the phone. The button is also reportedly capacitive and not an actual button, so it’s not like you can press it through the thick casing. Could this mean that the Oppo Find X8 won’t have an extra button at all?

According to recent rumors, the Find X8 will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipsetjust like its Pro sibling. The display is said to be a 6.7-inch “1.5K” 120Hz flat panel. The handset will reportedly feature a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide angle, and a 3x periscope zoom camera. Keeping the lights on is a 5,600mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.
