Samsung’s Galaxy A16 5G is reportedly officially in decemberbut that hasn’t meant that there have been many leaks lately – lately we’ve had seen an official looking image to show it from all sides.
Today, promotional materials for the A16 have emerged, revealing some of the device’s key specifications, as you can see below.
The Galaxy A16 gets a 6.7-inch 1080×2340 LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits, or Exynos 1330 SoC or the Size 6300 chipset at the helm (region dependent), 4/6/8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, an IP54 dust and splash resistance rating, and an intriguing promise of software updates.
According to these materials, Samsung is promising six major Android updates and six years of security patches for the Galaxy A16. If true, that’s unprecedented for this price range and could be one of the device’s biggest selling points over its (likely cheaper) competition.
The A16 measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.9mm and weighs 192g or 200g depending on the version. It comes in light green, blue-black, and gold. An earlier certification revealed that it a 5,000 mAh battery.
