Google has the Android 15 code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), but it has yet to release an update for supported Pixels. Rumors have been swirling that it would arrive next month , and today we finally have a supposed release date.

Google will begin rolling out the Android 15 update over the air to Pixels on October 15, according to a new report. The report also comes with the warning that things could still change in the meantime, especially if some show-stopping bugs are found.

Android 15 release date leaks

Android 15 will be available for the Pixel6 and newer devices. Hopefully with the delayed release (compared to AOSP) what comes out will be fully baked and free of any glaring issues.

Android 15 is also rolling out to the new Pixel 9 devicesthat were announced in August, breaking with the tradition of unveiling new Pixels in October. The Pixel 9 models therefore arrived with Android 14 on day one, and will get Android 15 on October 15 (how fitting), just like every other supported Pixel.
