Caviar, known for its custom luxury appliances, is back with another custom appliance. We’re talking about the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate triple folding smartphone, that’s it revealed in China earlier this month in black and red and has a base price of CNY 19,999 ($2,850/€2,555/INR238,785).

The custom Huawei Mate XT Ultimate from Caviar is part of the Rich Colors collection and has two versions: Black Dragon and Gold Dragon.

The Black Dragon model is inspired by the Xuanlong dragon from Chinese mythology and is wrapped in black crocodile skin, which resembles the scales of the Xuanlong dragon. It is also accented with gilded details.

The Gold Dragon model, on the other hand, is completely covered in 24-carat gold, with the surface textured like imperial swords crafted in the Chinese city of Longquan – a place where the Chinese art of forging multi-layered swords originated.

Caviar says it will make 88 copies of both versions, as 88 is considered a lucky number in Chinese culture.

Both models are available with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options. The Black Dragon version costs $12,770, $13,200 and $13,630 respectively, while the Gold Dragon model costs $14,500, $14,930 and $15,360 respectively.

The standard Mate XT Ultimate, launched by Huawei, is currently exclusive to China, with a international launch planned for Q1 2025.
