Google is holding a hardware launch event on August 13, two months earlier than normal, and the Pixel 9 family is expected to be unveiled at that time. This will be the largest Pixel series ever, with the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XLAnd Pixel 9 Pro Fold giving you more high-quality options than ever before.

Today, pricing for all of these devices leaked in France, so let’s dive in. The Pixel 9 is said to arrive in Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Cosmo, and Mojito – since Mojito is likely greenish, we’re assuming Cosmo is the leaked pink tint from last week.

Starting at $899 for the vanilla model with 128GB of storage and $999 for 256GB, the Pixel 9 Pro is about the same size as the Pixel 9 but has more cameras. It starts at $1,099 for 128GB of storage, going up to $1,199 for 256GB, and $1,329 if you need 512GB.

Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold prices leaked

The top-of-the-line version will only come in Obsidian and Hazel, while the other two will reportedly also come in Porcelain and Pink (Cosmo, is that you?).

The Pixel 9 Pro XL will have the same innards as the Pixel 9 Pro, but will be larger – in terms of size, this is the true successor to the Pixel 8 ProPricing starts at €1,199 with 128GB of storage and goes up to €1,299 with 256GB, €1,429 with 512GB, and €1,689 with 1TB.

The 1TB version will only be available in Obsidian, with the 128GB and 512GB models adding Porcelain and Hazel, while the 256GB variant is the only one to also come in Pink. It’s a strategy that’s not easy for us to understand, don’t worry.

Finally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be the successor to the original Pixel fold from last year. This one will set you back €1,899 with 256GB of storage and €2,029 with 512GB. It only comes in Obsidian and Porcelain.

As with all euro price leaks, different VAT rates can cause small differences within the EU. However, if this leak is true, then this is what you should expect as a starting point.

For reference, please note that the Pixel8 was €100 cheaper in the 128GB version when it launched, and €140 cheaper with 256GB. While the Pixel 9 Pro is similar in price to the Pixel 8 Pro in its base model, the 256GB version is €30 more expensive and the 512GB model €40 more, and the comparison isn’t fair to begin with – as we said, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is the true successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, and with that in mind, Google’s larger non-foldable flagship for 2024 is at least €100 more expensive than its predecessor.

While these prices don’t necessarily translate directly into another currency, it stands to reason that prices that have not changed for the EU compared to last year will remain the same in other markets in 2023. And those that have increased will also increase globally.
