Xiaomi has unveiled HyperOS 2 yesterday in China, and along with the new software came a list of devices that will receive it as an update and a rough timeline of when it will arrive for each model.
Today, an alleged list of the first international devices to get HyperOS 2 was leaked. Rather confusingly, the listing says that all of these phones will get the new skin “by the first quarter of 2025” – that could mean “before the first quarter of 2025”, in which case it’s better worded as “by the end of 2024”, or it could actually be (maybe more likely) mean by the end of the first quarter, which is March 31.
In that case, owners of any of these will definitely have to wait a long time – but then again, long waits for updates are not news to owners of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones.
Anyway, as you can see, the list includes the logical suspects: the Xiaomi 14 series, the Xiaomi 14T familythe Xiaomi 13T linethe Xiaomi 13 devices, as well as the Small F6 seriesthe Poco X6 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 smartphonesand the Redmi 12 and Redmi 13 series. That’s quite a lot of equipment together.
It’s still unclear whether the international version of HyperOS 2 will get its own launch event or not. The Chinese version comes with a lot of general optimizations and some AI features, so we expect the global variant to be similar.
