The new Final Cut Pro 11 also allows users to edit spatial video captured via the iPhone 15 Pro series, iPhone 16 series or Canon R7 when paired with an RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens. Users can import spatial video footage, add effects, make color corrections and adjust depth positions. Apple’s new Final Cut Pro 11 will run on all Macs running macOS Sonoma with at least 8GB of RAM, although some features require Apple Silicon chips.

Apple is also pushing an update to the Final Cut iPad app with Final Cut Pro 2.1, which requires an M1 chip or higher or an iPad mini (A17 Pro) and iPadOS 17.6 or higher.

The iPad version features Enhance Light and Color functions, allowing precise color, color balance, contrast and brightness corrections. Apple also added a new vertical pinch gesture to expand and minimize the clip height in the Timeline.
