It is no surprise that ChatGPT has managed to double its weekly active users since November last year. This is evident from the buzzword AI that has emerged over the past year and the fact that ChatGPT is the most well-known generative AI chatbot.
The OpenAI service now has 200 million weekly active users, up from 100 million in 2023. OpenAI also says that 92% of Fortune 500 companies use its products, while usage of its automated API has doubled since the release of GPT-4o Mini last month.
In a statement on these issues, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said:
