Google has its Gemini app for iOS, allowing users to tinker with the AI assistant via voice, text, or camera. The new app offers all the basic functionality that you previously accessed through the Gemini section of the Google app.

A key addition to the Gemini app on iOS is direct access to Gemini Live – the real-time voice chat experience with Google’s AI assistant. iPhone 15 Pro series and iPhone 16 series users can also assign the Gemini app via the action button for quick searches or calls
Like other competitors’ AI assistants on iOS, Google Gemini doesn’t control apps or settings on your iPhone, but it can access data between Google apps like Maps, Gmail, Drive, and YouTube.
