Not a day goes by without multiple Pixel leaks, and after a previous one describing the surprising Android version the Pixel 9 family will start with, we now have another one focused on the Pixel 9 Pro FoldGoogle’s second foldable smartphone and the successor to the original Pixel fold from last year.

This one should measure 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.5mm when folded and 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.1mm when unfolded. That makes it slightly taller, much wider and much thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold6its main competitor. It is also thicker than the world record holder Honor Magic V3 which, when folded, is only 9.3 mm thin.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is said to weigh 257 grams, which is significantly more than the Magic V3 (226 grams), Galaxy Z Fold6 (239 grams) and OnePlus Open (239 grams). That said, it’s still considerably lighter than its predecessor, which weighed in at a whopping 283 grams.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s inner screen is after the livingis similar in size and the panel is expected to reach a maximum brightness of 2,700 nits (just like the external display).

The upcoming foldable phone will come in 256GB and 512GB storage variants, but only the former version will be available in USA for whatever reason. It will have 16GB of RAM and a 4,650mAh battery, which is actually smaller than the 4,821mAh unit in the Pixel Fold.

Bigger screens and a smaller battery don’t bode well for durability, but Google will still advertise “24 hours of battery life”, whatever that means. The Pro Fold can last up to 72 hours with Extreme Battery Saver mode enabled.

Like the rest of the Pixel 9 family, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold runs Android 14, with an update to Android 15 coming within a few weeks of release.
