It’s been a while since the iPhone 16 launched, so you may have been eagerly awaiting JerryRigEverything’s signature “durability test” all this time. Well, the wait is finally over.
The cheapest iPhone of the 2024 generation is now subject to scratches, burns and bending (hopefully not the latter). If you have your popcorn ready, here’s the video.
In case you couldn’t watch for some reason, here’s a quick recap of what happened. Apple’s Ceramic Shield glass screen protector scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale with deeper grooves at level 7, just like any other glass, but the scratches are much less pronounced.
The frame is made of aluminum (of which 85% is recycled), the screen can withstand and survive open fire, and finally: the phone is not bendable, either from the front or from the back.
