Motorola launched the Moto S50 Neo in June, and if promisedthe brand today unveiled the vanilla S50. The Motorola Moto S50 Powered by the Dimensity 7300 SoC, it runs Android 14 and has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The smartphone is built around a 6.36-inch 120Hz LTPO pOLED display with a resolution of 2,670×1,272 pixels with HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader below it for biometric authentication.
On the back, you’ll find a triple camera setup, which consists of a combination of 50MP primary (Sony IMX896, OIS), 13MP ultra-wide angle (123° FOV), and 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, OIS) units.
Keeping the Motorola Moto S50 ticking, there’s a 4,310mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless charging support. The smartphone also comes with an IP68 rating. If this all sounds familiar, that’s because the Motorola Moto S50 is a version of the recently announced Motorola Edge 50 Neowith the S50 being available exclusively in China and the Edge 50 Neo being aimed at the international market.
The Motorola Moto S50 comes in three Pantone Validated colors and comes in two memory configurations — 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY2,199 ($310/€280/INR26,000) and CNY2,499 ($350/€320/INR29,550), respectively. It is available to purchase through Lenovo’s official Chinese website.
