A few days ago we came across a report that iQOO is working on four Z10 phones: Z10, Z10x, Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro. The latter, the iQOO Z10 Turbo Pro, is interesting because it will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8s Elite, a new entry in Qualcomm’s more affordable 8s chip range.
And this could be it: the vivo V2453A was running Geekbench 6.1.0 with an unknown new chip. It has one core at 3.21 GHz, three cores at 3.01 GHz, two at 2.80 GHz and two more at 2.02 GHz. Even more interesting is the GPU, Adreno 825, according to the benchmark. This fits in perfectly with this Digital chat stations description of the 8s Elite (SM8735).

Here’s how it compares to the premium Snapdragon 8 Elite:
Snapdragon | 8s Gen 3 | 8s Elite | 8 Elite |
---|---|---|---|
Node | 4nm | ? | 3nm |
CPU, fine | 1x Cortex-X4 @ 3.0 GHz | 1x Cortex-X4 @ 3.21 GHz | 2x Oryon at 4.32 GHz |
CPU, average | 4x Cortex-A720 @ 2.8 GHz | 3x Cortex-A720 @ 3.01 GHz 2x Cortex-A720 @ 2.80 GHz |
6x Oryon @ 3.53 GHz |
CPU, small | 3x Cortex-A520 @ 2.0 GHz | 2x Cortex-A520 @ 2.02 GHz | – |
GPU | Adreno 735 | Adreno 825 | Adreno 830 |
Note that the 8s Elite does not use the Oryon cores developed in-house by Qualcomm, but still features the ARM-designed cores used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 generation. However, there is a boost to the CPU clock speed and another middle core (at the cost of one small core). Additionally, the Adreno 825 GPU is the same generation as the Elite chip (and not a 700 series GPU).
The iQOO Z10 Turbo also hit Geekbench (vivo V2452A), this one seems to be the Size 8400. Currently, only two MediaTek chips use the Mali-G720: the Dimensity 9300 and the 8400. The CPU clock speeds make it clear that this is the latter – it has eight Cortex-A725 cores (a rare homogeneous CPU), one of which runs at 3.25GHz, three at 3.0GHz and four at 2.1GHz.

The iQOO Z10 Turbo and the Z10 Turbo Pro ran Android 15 and the tested devices both have 12GB RAM.
Get the message through DCS suggests that in addition to iQOO, the Snapdragon 8s Elite will also be used by Xiaomi for future Redmi models. The first 8s Elite based phones should appear in April.
