The nubia Z70 Ultra is the latest addition to the Nubia family, offering premium specs in a familiar design. This is the logical successor to last year Z60 Ultraand it brings a few major upgrades, including the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a brighter screen and updated cameras.
The Z70 Ultra’s screen grew to 6.85 inches, with a faster 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. There’s a slight increase in resolution to 1,216 x 2,688 px and thinner bezels, measuring just 1.25mm, making them the thinnest bezels on any smartphone.

The BOE-made AMOLED panel also features an under-display optical fingerprint scanner and a seventh-generation 16MP selfie cam under the display. Nubia has continued to improve the UD selfie cam experience with an improved algorithm for clearer selfies and an updated 430ppi screen area above the sensor.
As for the rear cameras, Nubia opts for a 50 MP main camera with 35mm optics and an IMX906 sensor.
The new addition to the main camera is a variable aperture lens, which includes values from f/1.59 to f/4.0.

The main shooter is accompanied by a 70mm equivalent 64MP periscope module (OV64B) with 2.7x optical zoom and a 13mm equivalent 50MP ultra-wide angle (OV50D) with autofocus. There’s also a new camera button: half-press to focus and full-press to capture an image.
Z70 Ultra boots Nebula AIOS based on Android 15, which offers a host of AI features. The phone also has an IP69 protection rating, two-way satellite communications and a 6,150mAh silicon-carbon battery with 80W fast charging.
Nubia Z70 Ultra comes in black, amber and a limited edition color Starry Night Blue, inspired by Vincent van Gogh The Starry Night. The base 12/256GB version starts at CNY 4,599 ($635), while the top-end 24GB RAM and 1TB version will retail for CNY 6,299 ($870).
The Z70 Ultra can already be pre-ordered in China at ZTE Mall, JD.com. Tmall, Douyin. Shipments there begin on November 25.
The Z70 Ultra will soon be available outside of China, with a global launch scheduled for November 26.
