Oppo is prepping the flagship Find X8 family, consisting of the vanilla X8, X8 Pro, and X8 Ultra, and today battery capacities for all three have leaked in China, joining those of the upcoming Reno13 and Reno13 Pro. And it’s all good news for longevity, we might add.

According to prolific leaker Digital Chat Station, the Find X8 will feature a 5,600mAh battery, the Find X8 Pro will have a 5,700mAh battery, and the Find X8 Ultra a 6,100-6,200 mAh battery. These will all use dual-cell technology.

The Reno13 has a 5,600mAh battery and the Reno13 Pro has a 5,900mAh battery, and these are single-cell. All of these batteries use the new silicon technology which can pack more capacity into the same space than the older technology.

In light of these figures, Samsung’s decision to stay at 5,000 mAh for the Galaxy S25 Ultra seems even stranger. If you’re wondering why these increases seem to be so common across Chinese smartphone makers, it’s a perfect storm of two reasons combined: one is the availability of the new silicon technology, the other, for flagship devices, the rumored increase in power consumption of the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

The Find X8 Ultra will use that chipset and is expected to launch in January. The other two members of the family will likely arrive earlier – in October or November, both with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC. The Reno13 series could also launch in November.
