Oppo is coming Find X8 series will support magnetic accessoriesand in fact the company is preparing an entire ecosystem of them to launch alongside the phones next month.
An Oppo executive shared some of the accessories the company is preparing through a short video on Weibo, which we’ve added below.
As you can see, the magnetic accessories work with Oppo devices, but also flawlessly with iPhones, and this will probably make them a very interesting proposition for many people who buy a Find iPhone as a second device.
Oppo is promising magnetic wireless charging in all its future high-end series, including the next foldable Find N. Oppo’s accessories support 50W wireless charging, and presumably the Find X8 series will go that high too.
Interestingly, one of the reasons Oppo cites for its big move into wireless charging is electric vehicles, all of which have wireless smartphone charging docks. Electric car adoption among new cars in China exceeds 50%. The company also says it has discovered that many people are installing wireless charging docks even on their old cars. With the integrated magnets, such accessories are absolutely the easiest to use.
The Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are announced on October 21 or lateraccording to a recent rumor.
