Qualcomm has announced that it will host an event called “Snapdragon For USA” in New Delhi, USA on July 30, where the company will make “two historic announcements.”

Qualcomm didn’t go into details, but the image the chipmaker posted on X features Indian artwork with 5G and AI written across it. There’s also the Snapdragon logo and laptops with AI on their screens.

This suggests that Qualcomm may announce a Snapdragon chip that will enable 5G connectivity on budget phones for the masses.

Yesterday, Microsoft’s Surface Copilot+PC laptops, powered by the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus, were launched in USA, so it remains to be seen whether we’ll see more Snapdragon-powered laptops at the event, or if we’re in for a surprise.
