Redmi is reportedly working on a new tablet that will be aimed at gamers. Considering this fact, it will improve its power by using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series chipset. The exact one isn’t mentioned by the Chinese source of this leak, which leads us (and many commenters on Weibo) to believe it will end up being the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, which isn’t quite a flagship SoC as the name implies, but more of a offering from the upper middle segment.
Still, that would compare well with Redmi’s previous tablets, and represent a slight increase in the market, even if it is not much. The brand might also go for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it is unclear. What seems to be the consensus among Chinese netizens is that the tablet will not use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
