The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to launch towards the end of this month or in October. It will arrive with a downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chip, the the same charging function as its predecessora 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,900-nit peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, an 8MP 3x optical zoom telephoto, a 10MP selfie camera, and a 4,565mAh battery. Oh, and a price increase.

According to a new rumor from a usually reliable source, the Galaxy S24 FE will be €100 more expensive in Europe than the Galaxy S23 FE was at launch. That’s a bitter pill to swallow if it pans out, especially since you’re also not getting any extra memory or storage: the base S24 FE will still only have 8GB of the former and 128GB of the latter, just like the S23 FE.

The Galaxy S24 FE with 8/128GB will cost €799. The S23 FE from last year from €699The ‘vanilla’ Milky Way S24 is currently sold in Europe for about €600 with the same amount of RAM/storage, while the S24+ is currently under €800 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So why would anyone choose the S24 FE over either of these? That’s a good question, right?
