The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra abandoned the rounded corners of its predecessor in favor of 90° angles – and all the phones that followed had the same tendency to dig into your palm. This is likely coming to an end as all indications are that Samsung will return to a more rounded design with the S25 Ultra.
We saw displays of the alleged design earlier this month, but this saga has been going on for some time. Even in August, Ice universe has shown mock-ups and claims Samsung will round off the sharp corners. And now the cat has proof.

This video, found on Weibo, shows a jelly case for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The corners are indeed rounded – noticeably more so than on the S22 through S24 Ultra, but not as rounded as on the S21 Ultra.
The new Ultra should have that super thin edgesthinner than even the one on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The phone will measure 8.2mm thicklower than 8.6mm on the 2024 model, and will also be lighter: 219 grams for the S25 Ultra, compared to 232 grams on the S24 Ultra. It should also be slightly narrower (77.6mm versus 79.0mm), all while retaining the same battery capacity (5,000mAh). All this points to major improvements in ergonomics.

The entire Samsung Galaxy S25 family would be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 instead of a Snapdragon/Exynos mix (we even have the Ultra run Geekbench). The Ultra is certified with satellite connectivitybut it’s not clear if that will be an exclusive feature or if the other two S25 phones will have that as well (all Pixel 9 and all iPhone 16 models have satellite connectivity).
