On Monday, Qualcomm finally announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, previously known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Now, a leaked AnTuTu score of a prototype Realme GT7 Pro is making the rounds with a record-breaking result of 3,025,991.

That puts it well ahead of Apple’s A18 Pro (which manages about 1.65 million points) and MediaTek’s recently unveiled Dimensity 9400that managed to get a score in the range of 2.8 million last time we checked.

Snapdragon 8 Elite rules AnTuTu, with Apple A18 Pro defying the score

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is rumored to come in two iterations: a base version with two cores running at 4.09 GHz and six at 2.78 GHz, and a premium option with two cores going up to 4.32 GHz. Both versions have the Adreno 830 GPU and are made on TSMC’s 3nm process.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite has also previously scored very favorably in Geekbench, so it really does look like a very solid competitor, and it apparently comes with a huge generational leap in performance over its predecessor.
