The vivo S20 series is expected to arrive later this month. According to a credible leak, the series will release S20 and S20 Pro, and at least one of the phones will come with a massive 6,500mAh battery.
The devices will likely inherit the ultra-thin chassis (less than 8mm) of the S19 series, which would be an amazing feature considering the larger cell capacity.
The vivo S series is the mid-range range for the Chinese market, eventually becoming known worldwide as the vivo V series, with some minor changes to the specifications. This means that looking at the vivo S20 and S20 Pro, we can see what to expect from the vivo V50 and V50 Pro once they go international in a few months.
Coming back to the leak, both devices will likely have an AMOLED display with a 1260p resolution. The S20 appears to be retaining the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while vivo will upgrade the S20 Pro to Dimensity 9300. We’ve seen a third, even cheaper variant before, but it doesn’t look like a vivo S20e is in the works for a while.
