vivo has today officially launched the Y28e and Y28s for the Indian market. These two are basically exactly the same phone, except for a few differences.

The most important one is the main camera: while the Y28s has a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor, the Y28e has to make do with an unnamed 13MP snapper. Both have a sort of decorative secondary 2MP sensor. On the front, the Y28s has an 8MP shooter for selfies, while the Y28e has a 5MP unit. The Y28e comes with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the Y28s comes with 4/6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Y28s has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, while the Y28e doesn’t have one at all.

The Y28e is available in Vintage Red and Breeze Green for INR 10,999 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and INR 11,999 with double the storage.

The Y28s comes in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple colors, and it starts at INR 13,999 with 4GB of RAM, goes up to INR 15,499 with 6GB of RAM, and caps off at INR 16,999 with 8GB of RAM. They should both be available later today via vivo’s Indian online store, Flipkart, and partner retailers.
