Only 1 in 10 people think there are better foldable devices than the Honor Magic V3based on the results of last week’s poll. This comes with an asterisk, as some potential competitors simply aren’t available in all markets where the V3 is present. That’s their loss though (and perhaps a loss for consumers too).

Regardless, there’s the persistent voice of people who just don’t like foldable phones. That’s okay, Honor has enough traditional phones. But those voices aside, most people like the Magic V3 – the only major problem with it is the price.

Still, a whopping 41% of voters are considering buying one, and another 10% could join them if the reviews are good – in our reviewWe had some reservations about the camera, but we came to the conclusion that this is a great all-round option for those looking for a foldable device.

Weekly poll results: Honor Magic V3 proves to be hugely popular

Some commentators are reporting that they have already pre-ordered the Magic V3. They say that this model fixes all the remaining issues they had with previous foldable phones, such as the V2 and others.

As for alternative foldable phones, the vivo X Fold3 Pro has been mentioned multiple times, but it simply isn’t available in major regions like Europe or the US. The Galaxy Z Fold6 has been criticized for its hardware, but praised for its software. There were also fans of the OnePlus Open in the comments. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold suffers because its chipset isn’t a match for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the others.

The foldable market is growing, although by only 15.9 million units shipped in 2023These phones are still niche. However, those 15.9 million units represented 25% growth from 2022, so they’re becoming more relevant every year. And we think devices like the Honor Magic V3 can accelerate that growth.
