Small phones – well, smallis phones – have fervent followers and that is clearly visible in last week’s poll. The Xiaomi-15 isn’t exactly small, but it is smaller than most Android devices, especially the more expensive ones, which rarely dip below 6.7-inch screens.
The Xiaomi 15 was very positively received and can only improve with strong reviews. There was a feeling that the phone is too expensive (indeed it costs a little more than the Xiaomi 14 last year), but the overall impression is good. Xiaomi 15’s main rival might be the vivo X200 Pro mini, but we are yet to see each company’s plan for a global rollout and the prices they will charge for these two phones.
The bigger Xiaomi 15 Pro didn’t do so well – here there’s an almost even split between people who are already interested in the phone and those who want to see the reviews before making a decision. Price was an even bigger concern for the Pro model. A not insignificant number of people are also waiting for the inevitable Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Last year, Xiaomi announced that it had been sold 1.45 million Xiaomi 14 phones just 10 days after the series launched in China. However, it never provided an overview of how well each model sold. Maybe the little 14 has surpassed the 14 Pro? And maybe it will happen again this year, judging by the survey results.
