The Xiaomi 14T phones are popular and there was a lot of interest in them last week’s poll. However, price appears to be an issue in some regions. Not all, some commenters report that they managed to get great deals and are happy with their purchase.
Yet the results speak for themselves – the Xiaomi 14T Pro The poll is almost evenly split between people who like the phone and those who think it’s too expensive. We had more options in the poll and (as we suspected) some are just not fans of the HyperOS software. However, the hardware had few opponents.
The Xiaomi 14T is the cheaper model, so the number of people who liked it easily exceeded the number of people who thought it was too expensive. The biggest problem here, though, is the strong appeal of the 14T Pro – it’s clearly the preferred model of the two, if you can afford it. Here too, HyperOS is a problem for a tenth of voters, but the hardware problems reached a higher level than with the Pro.
What’s not to like about the hardware? Using USB 2.0, especially on the Xiaomi 14T Pro with the powerful Dimensity 9300+, seems like a waste of potential. The battery life of the 14T also left much to be desired.
That said, we saw several commenters have already gotten a Xiaomi 14T or a 14T Pro and are quite happy with them – especially those who picked up the early bird benefits and took advantage of trade-in deals
