The Xiaomi-15 should become official in a few days, following Qualcomm’s unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset that will power it. Speaking of which, the Elite seems to match the Xiaomi 15 very well, at least if we go by the Geekbench run performed by what is most likely a Xiaomi 15 prototype.

This was spotted today in the online database Geekbench 6.3.0, and as you can see in the screenshot below, it achieved an impressive single-core score of 3,180 and a multi-core score of 10,058.

Xiaomi 15 runs Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Android 15

The prototype in question has 16GB of RAM. It’s unclear if this will be the only option or if others will be offered when the phone launches. Perhaps surprisingly, the prototype runs on Android 15, a version that Google only released on its Pixel devices last week. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the final Xiaomi 15 will use Android 15 from day one, but it would be appropriate, right? Let’s not give up hope just yet.

The Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will be the first to launch simultaneously, later this month. The Ultra follows on another point. Please note that the 15 and 15 Pro will initially only be sold in China. The 15 should get a worldwide release in the future, if we go by what happened last year.
